About Val Schenn
I have been in complementary therapy since 1996, passing ITEC examinations in Anatomy and Physiology, Massage, Aromatherapy and Reflexology. I am also an Ear Candle Practitioner and a Reiki Master. But after all these years and all these therapies, my clients ask mostly for No hands Massage!
I have been involved in the care profession one way or another since 1982, my clients ageing from 3 days to 99 years old!
Most of my work initially was with the physically or mentally ill or disabled, spending time in Otara Spinal Unit working with Quadra and Paraplegics (New Zealand). During this time I also trained extensively in a few chosen sports, giving me some first-hand experience of sports treatments and injuries, one of which retired me to more gentle forms of exercise and self-maintenance.
I have been fortunate enough to have travelled around the world experiencing many different cultures, environments, religions and philosophies, where I have been eternally touched and humbled by the courage, humour and great resilience shown by the lesser privileged in the face of adversity.
I migrated naturally to complementary therapies, believing as I do, that greater personal awareness creates a happier, healthier way of living that will permeate through society creating a positive evolving civilization. I am a No Hands Massage Therapist. My aim is to deliver the best possible massage I can and to help you as a client, receive the greatest possible benefit. There is no greater natural healing power than that of touch and I have witnessed my clients take this touch and quite literally, walk a new walk.
It can generally be said that how we walk is how we live and I am continually amazed and inspired to see how my clients’ new walk, changes, gradually, over time, into a new life journey they have taken on. No Hands Massage, it cannot be explained! That is why it just needs to be felt!
